Family Safe Word Generator
Scammers can clone a loved one’s voice from just three seconds of audio. A family safe word stops them cold: if a panicked call asks for money, you ask for the word. A real family member knows it. An AI clone doesn’t.
100% private. This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your safe word is never sent to us, stored, or seen by anyone.
Your safe word
…
Memorable but unguessable — never a pet’s name or a birthday. Prefer your own idea? Just type it on the card below.
Backup: verification questions
No safe word yet? Ask something only real family could answer — and that isn’t on social media.
Make a card to share
Fill this in, then print it (or save as PDF) and give a copy to the people you want to protect — especially older relatives.
Our Family
—
If a call or message claims to be family and asks for money or urgent action, ask for this word first. Never share it by text, email, or over the phone.
How to use your safe word
- 1
Agree on it together — in person. Never share it by text, email, or on a call.
- 2
Keep it off social media. Don’t use pet names, birthdays, or anything postable.
- 3
Make it the rule. Any urgent money-or-emergency request must clear the safe-word check first — no exceptions.
- 4
If a call fails the check: hang up and call the person back on a number you already have saved.
